The Three Angels’ Message

The Three Angels’ Messages refer to a series of proclamations found in the Book of Revelation in the Bible, specifically in Revelation 14:6-12. These messages are central to the teachings of the San Marcos Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Here’s a breakdown of the three messages:

1. First Angel’s Message (Revelation 14:6-7):

· The first angel announces the eternal gospel to be preached to every nation, tribe, language, and people. The message calls for worship of God as the Creator and urges humanity to fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come. This message is often understood as a call to return to worshiping God, the Creator, especially in light of the coming judgment.

2. Second Angel’s Message (Revelation 14:8):

· The second angel proclaims the fall of Babylon, a symbol of confusion, false religion, and worldly systems opposed to God. Babylon is described as a place of corruption, and the message warns people to avoid following her, implying that her practices are deceitful and sinful. This message serves as a call for Christians to separate themselves from false systems of worship and idolatry.

3. Third Angel’s Message (Revelation 14:9-12):

· The third angel issues a warning against the worship of the Beast and receiving its mark (often interpreted as the Mark of the Beast, which represents allegiance to worldly powers and systems that oppose God). Those who do so will face God’s wrath. This message emphasizes the need for faithfulness to God and keeping His commandments, especially during the time of crisis leading up to Christ’s return.

These messages collectively emphasize the themes of worshiping God, rejecting false systems, and remaining faithful to God’s commandments in the face of adversity. They are viewed as a call for spiritual preparation for the end times and a reminder of the urgency of proclaiming the gospel worldwide.
